Qatar is looking forward to hosting the Finalissima between Argentina and Spain, scheduled for March 28th at the Lusail stadium. Hani Taleb Plan, CEO of the Qatar Stars League, told the newspaper Marca: "I know we are working on hosting this match, but there are many things that need to be finalized in terms of coordination with the federations and teams. It has not yet been officially announced that the match will take place, but we are not stopping our work, and Lusail stadium will be a great stage for the match." In turn, Jassem Al-Jassem, CEO of the Local Organizing Committee for Sporting Events in Qatar, told the Spanish newspaper: "Of course, we want to host the match, and we are currently consulting with UEFA and CONMEBOL. Qatar is preparing to host three world and international tournaments in the coming period: the Arab Cup from December 1-18, the FIFA Intercontinental Cup, with European champions Paris Saint-Germain in the final on December 17, in addition to the U-17 World Cup, which will be held from November 3-27. The matches of the U-17 World Cup will be held at the Aspire Academy stadiums, while the final will be held at Khalifa stadium. Plan continued: "Our goal is to continue hosting major events. They thought we would stop after the World Cup, but we are still organizing major events." Qatar is studying the possibility of hosting the 2027 Basketball World Cup and the 2036 Olympic Games.
