With this result, Al-Duhail secured their first win in the tournament, raising their points total to 4, while Shabab Al-Ahli suffered their first defeat after three unbeaten matches, remaining on 7 points. EdmÃlson Junior opened the scoring for Al-Duhail in the 2nd minute, and Benjamin Bourigeaud added a second in the 39th. Cascardo then narrowed the deficit for 'Dubai's Knights' with a powerful strike in the 42nd minute. In the second half, Adel Bolbina extended the lead to 3-1 with a goal in the 57th minute, and Luis Alberto completed the brace in the 92nd.
