The organizing committee of the 2025 Arab Cup Qatar announced during a press conference held on Saturday in Doha new facilitations via the 'Hayya' platform for residents of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries wishing to attend the tournament, which will take place in Doha from December 1 to 18. The new measures include converting the current entry permit from a single-entry to a multiple-entry system starting from November 30. The committee also clarified that the updates extend to increasing the validity period of the permit from one month to two months, giving GCC residents more space to travel and stay, and attend matches that are expected to draw large crowds, as was the case in the 2021 edition. Saad Ali Al-Kuwari, Director of Qatar's 'Hayya' Tourism Platform, said at the press conference: 'In cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, we have introduced this package of new measures as part of a coordinated strategy to support the tourism and hospitality sector and facilitate access for visitors from GCC countries, which represent one of the most important regional markets for Qatar. This step will contribute to enhancing communication between the peoples of the region and keeping pace with the expected influx during the coming months, coinciding with the 2025 Arab Cup.' He added: 'The new facilitations via the Hayya platform come as a continuation of previous updates aimed at simplifying the permit issuance process and providing more flexible options for visitors and residents of GCC countries, while maintaining the highest levels of smoothness in entry and exit procedures through various ports.'
