Patrick Reed Wins Qatar Masters to Lead 'Race to Dubai'

American golfer Patrick Reed has taken the lead in the 'Race to Dubai' standings of the DP World Tour following his victory at the Qatar Masters, which concluded yesterday at the Doha Golf Club. This marks his second title in just three weeks during the 2026 season, having previously won the Hero Dubai Desert Classic in January. Reed finished the tournament with a score of 16 under par, two strokes ahead of Scotland's Callum Hill. This win earned the American 585 points, boosting his overall total in the 'Race to Dubai' to 2259 points. Reed's remarkable form is turning heads; in addition to his wins in Dubai and Doha, he secured a second-place finish at the Bapco Energies Bahrain tournament in Manama last week, showcasing incredibly consistent and powerful performance. He is aiming to become the first American to claim the DP World Tour season title since the 'Race to Dubai' was inaugurated in 2009. After lifting the trophy, designed in the shape of a pearl, Reed said: 'This short run I'm on, two wins and a second place, is special. I couldn't ask for more than what I've achieved.'
