Alpine driver Franco Colapinto was self-critical about his poor performance during the Qatar Grand Prix and admitted he "drove badly." With live coverage from the Argentine News Agency, the driver had a very poor qualifying session where his first lap was deleted for exceeding track limits. He was ultimately eliminated in Q1 after finishing last and will start the main race on Sunday from the final position at the Lusail International Circuit. Following this, the Argentine moved away from criticizing his car, as he has done for much of the season, and acknowledged: "I drove badly throughout the entire qualifying. I went off the track twice and lost time. I think it cost me a bit more. Today I haven't done a good job."
