In the last quarter of 2024, government expenditures in Qatar amounted to 47.8 billion riyals, which is 12% less than in the corresponding quarter of 2023. Total revenues also decreased by 12.5% and amounted to 48.7 billion riyals. The Ministry of Finance of Qatar reported on Thursday that the country recorded a deficit of 930 million riyals (255.41 million dollars) in the last quarter of the previous year, with an average oil price of 73.9 dollars per barrel.
"Indicators of state financing in the last quarter of 2024 reflect the resilience of the Qatari economy in the conditions of fluctuations in the oil market," the ministry noted.
