This is due to a 4.1% increase in the prices of housing, water, electricity, gas, and other types of fuel, as well as a 1.3% rise in food and beverage prices and a 1.5% increase in transportation prices, according to the authority. In December, Qatar's inflation rate rose by 1.95% year-on-year and 1.44% month-on-month. In Saudi Arabia, the inflation rate at the end of 2025 was 2.1% year-on-year. It is worth noting that inflation peaked in June 2008 at 16.59% and recorded its lowest level in December 2009 at -9.96%.
