The Qatari Diwan reported on Wednesday that Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani discussed with US President Donald Trump in a phone call efforts to de-escalate in the region and support diplomatic initiatives aimed at resolving crises through dialogue and peaceful means. It is expected that Netanyahu will pressure Trump to expand US talks with Iran to include imposing restrictions on Tehran's missile arsenal and other security threats beyond its nuclear program. The call came ahead of an upcoming meeting between Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
