The Qatari Ministry of Interior has confirmed that the Economic and Cybercrime Department of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation has managed to arrest 194 individuals of various nationalities on suspicion of filming, circulating videos, and spreading misleading information and rumors that contribute to inciting public opinion. The ministry clarified in a statement that the content published by the arrested individuals violates the instructions issued by the relevant authorities, noting that the necessary legal and administrative measures have been taken against them. The ministry warned against filming or disseminating videos or rumors related to field developments, stressing the need to obtain information only from official sources and to refrain from sharing any content containing misleading information or liable to incite public opinion.
