During the recent secondary ministerial meeting, the Emir of Qatar also appointed Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani as the new Minister of Trade and Industry in the country.
The Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, on Tuesday appointed Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi as the executive director of the Qatar Investment Fund.
Sheikh Faisal is a leading investor in Asia, the Pacific, and Africa at the Qatar Fund, which expanded the responsibilities of Suwaidi, who replaced Mansour bin Ibrahim Al Mahmoud, also appointed on Tuesday as the Minister of Public Health.
Previously, Suwaidi held the position of Head of Investments in the Americas at a $510 billion sovereign fund, also establishing the fund’s office and an investment group in New York.
