Jordanian international striker Ali Allan has joined Qatari club Al-Sailiya for the remainder of the season on a renewable contract, according to a club source cited by AFP. The source stated that Allan (25 years old) has joined the team's training sessions after completing all administrative procedures related to the contract between the two parties. It was also added that Allan will be registered with the club at the Qatar Football Association, replacing Algerian striker Mohamed Benyettou, whose contract was mutually terminated. Allan's first appearance for Al-Sailiya will be in the next match of the 14th round of the Qatari league, scheduled for Friday against Al-Shamal. Allan was very close to a move to Saudi club Al-Riyadh, but negotiations stalled in the final moments, allowing Al-Sailiya to step in and complete the deal by paying the buyout clause in the player's contract with Iraqi club Al-Karma. Allan has been prominent with his national team in recent years, delivering an outstanding performance at the Arabian Gulf Cup in Qatar late last year, where he led his team to the tournament's runners-up finish and became its top scorer with 6 goals. He also helped 'The Nashama' (Jordan's national team nickname) qualify for the first time in their history for the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals in the USA, Mexico, and Canada. Previously, Allan, who began his career with Jordanian club Al-Jazeera in 2018, played for Qatari club Al-Shamal in the 2023 season before moving to fellow Jordanian club Al-Khor and returning to Al-Shamal on loan the following season. Last season, he moved to Malaysian club Selangor, and from there to Al-Karma at the start of the current season. In the current season with the Iraqi team, Allan has played 11 matches, scoring 5 goals and providing 1 assist. Since 2020, he has played 57 matches for his national team, scoring 27 goals.
