Former West Ham English-Jamaican striker Michael Antonio has completed his transfer to Qatari club Al-Sailiya. This move comes 15 months after a serious car accident that left him with multiple leg fractures. The striker had attempted to negotiate with Brentford and Leicester City, and also tried to secure a short-term contract with Charlton Athletic, but to no avail. Antonio spoke about what happened to him, saying: "I have the potential to play in the Premier League for 10 years, and every coach who sees my performance in training offers me a contract, but after the accident, some coaches and clubs refused to sign me, and some owners opposed the idea. Sometimes a coach may want to sign you, but the owner decides because he is the one with the money."
