Qatar's Ministry of Education and Higher Education has announced the resumption of in-person classes in all schools starting tomorrow, Sunday. According to a statement posted on the ministry's 'X' account, it was decided to resume in-person education and services from Sunday. This applies to kindergarten, preschool, public and private schools, and educational service centers, in accordance with the approved academic calendar. The ministry clarified that resuming in-person classes in public schools will involve implementing alternative assessment procedures for mid-term exams in the second semester through flexible electronic applications that allow measuring learning outcomes. In private schools, assessments will be conducted according to approved plans and decisions of examination boards. The ministry confirmed the readiness of the educational infrastructure and the availability of systems and frameworks to handle various conditions and changes, whether in in-person or remote learning modes. This includes educational plans, teaching methods, and assessment mechanisms. The ministry emphasized that it continues to monitor the current situation and will announce any updates through its official channels at the appropriate time.
