The Ministry of Education and Higher Education of the State of Qatar has announced the official working hours in kindergartens and public schools during the month of Ramadan for the academic year 2025–2026. In line with adapting the school day to the sanctity of the holy month, its duration will be set at three and a half hours. According to Qatari newspaper 'Al-Sharq', students in kindergarten and grades 1 through 12 will start their day at 9:00 AM and finish at 12:30 PM. The ministry has also set the working hours for the administrative and teaching staff in kindergartens and public schools from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, ensuring the continuity of the educational process and providing a suitable school environment during the blessed month. This regulation is part of the preparations of Qatar's educational institutions for Ramadan, achieving a balance between the requirements of the school day and the sanctity of the month, while enhancing the efficiency of public schools.
