The Qatar national team announced a list of 30 footballers who will be ready to face North Korea and Kyrgyzstan later this month in the qualifying tournament for the 2026 World Cup. The list includes: Saad al-Shib, Salah Zakriya, Mahmoud Abundi, Mishal Barsham, Ahmed Suhail, Ahmed al-Janahi, Ahmed al-Ravi, Ahmed Alaa, Ahmed Fathi, Akram Afif, Edmilson Junior, Moaz Ali, Hashem al-Hassan, Bualam Khoki, Pedro Miguel, Jassim Jabir, Hazem Ahmed, Tarek Sultan, Asim Madbo, Abdhalaziz Khatem, Abdalqarim Hasan, Abdallah al-Ahrar, Abdallah Yusof, Lukas Mendes, Mohamad Siraj, Mohamad Montari, Murad Najhi, Mustafa Tarek, Hamam al-Amin, and Yusof Abdalrazak.

The Qatar national team ranks fourth in Group A of the third qualifying round of the World Cup with seven points. Iran leads the group with 16 points, Uzbekistan is in second place with 13 points, while the UAE is third with 10 points.
