2025 Arab Cup Prize Money Surpasses Africa Cup and Asian Cup

The prize money for the 2025 Arab Cup, hosted by Qatar starting the day after tomorrow and running until December 18, has been announced. The total prize pool is 36.5 million dollars, surpassing that of both the Africa Cup of Nations and the AFC Asian Cup. The 2025 edition marks a significant 40% financial increase compared to the previous 2021 tournament in Qatar, which had a prize fund of 25.5 million dollars. The tournament is now officially recognized by FIFA, with its match results counting towards the FIFA World Ranking. This increase has allowed the 2025 Arab Cup to surpass the total prize fund of the Africa Cup of Nations, hosted by Morocco from December 21 to January 18, 2026 (32 million dollars), and to exceed the prize money for the AFC Asian Cup, held in Qatar last year (15 million dollars). The winner of the 2025 Arab Cup will receive 7 million 155 thousand dollars, slightly more than the Africa Cup of Nations champion (7 million dollars) and over two million dollars more than the Asian Cup champion (5 million dollars). The runner-up will receive 4.2 million dollars, compared to 4 million dollars in the Africa Cup of Nations and 3 million dollars in the Asian Cup. Every participating team in the Arab Cup will receive 715 thousand dollars, compared to 500 thousand dollars for each team in the Africa Cup of Nations and 200 thousand dollars in the Asian Cup.
