The national football team's goalkeeper, Hamad Al-Maqbali, stated that the most important thing in football is achieving victory in matches. He pointed out that their goal as players in the previous stage was clear: to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Arab Cup in Doha. Al-Maqbali emphasized that the players did not fall short, but fulfilled their role to the fullest, stressing that the current goal is to reach as far as possible in the tournament, despite the difficulty of the current stage, which requires greater effort than before and for the players to live up to expectations. During the pre-match press conference, Al-Maqbali added: "Our focus is on the upcoming match against Algeria, and we trust in our abilities as players, especially since the team has gone through a difficult stage, and Cosmin has given us the motivation to make the future better. The players and the technical staff did not fall short, and we managed to get out of the group." Al-Maqbali also explained that "the harmony among the national team players is increasing day by day, and God willing, the future will be better."
